Dr. Thomas George Logan of magAssist has recently been granted as the Leading Talent of Sci-Tech Innovation of Suzhou New District. The information was released in the Document on 2020 Leading Talents of Sci-Tech Innovation of Suzhou New District (The 2nd Batch of the Collective Expert Review Category & Project Roadshow Category) by the Suzhou New District Administrative Committee.
Dr. Thomas George Logan currently works as the Chief Engineer of magAssist. He has obtained a bachelor's degree, Master's Degree, and Ph.D. in Cambridge and is now a Postdoctoral Researcher. Dr. Logan has committed himself to innovative research in power electronics and electric motor design for years and was also in charge of the joint research project conducted by Cambridge University and Jaguar Land Rover and several major projects on distribution network voltage regulation and optimization.
Leading magAssist's electronic and electrical engineering team, Dr. Logan has completed in less than 3 years the R&D of the core drive and control technology of artificial hearts, microsensor design, development of high-performance power management module, and compound integrated circuit design, as well as cooperating with the machine design team in developing engineering prototypes. All the aforementioned researches have met the technical indicators of clinical needs. Dr. Polin Hsu, founder of magAssist and expert of the National Major Talents Project (Youth Category), highly acknowledged Logan's capabilities in innovation and leadership. For the way forward, Dr. Logan will continue to guide the development of key technologies in extracorporeal artificial heart projects and promote the upgrading of products, in order to bring our products and relevant technologies to the forefront of industry development.
