Dr. Chiahao Hsu of magAssist named to 2021 Innovative Sci-Tech Leaders of Suzhou New District

Dr. Chiahao Hsu, Director of Science and Innovation of magAssist stood out as one of the 2021 Innovative Sci-Tech Leaders of Suzhou New District on November 21, 2021, for her outstanding achievements and remarkable contributions in the R&D and industrialization of artificial hearts' special motors used in extracorporeal life support (ECLS).

Dr. Chiahao Hsu has built up magAssist's medical patent system, led project teams to mitigate patent risks and protect the company's intellectual property rights. She has also helped improve the academic reputation of Chinese high-end medical equipment enterprises while representing magAssist at multiple international conferences. 

Under the lead of Dr. Chiahao Hsu, magAssist brought to life the company's first product, MoyoAssist® Extra-VAD, and optimized several rounds of the design based on multi-dimensional finite element analysis, helping the company gain its first high barrier Class III active medical device. Currently, the product has already entered the clinical trial phase and saved many patients. As the "super brain" of the Science and Innovation Department, Dr. Hsu and her team will continue to guide the future development of magAssist by conducting pioneering and exploratory research at the frontiers of technology.
