2022 list of China's most socially impactful startups

Early in 2021, Fortune China launched a list of China's most socially impactful startups by selecting startups that have demonstrated social impact while achieving business success and solving the world's problems through technological innovation or business model innovation.

This year, there are 84 startups on the list. According to Fortune China, these companies are making a great social impact by having their business model to solve tough issues for society. The list has shown that even in an unconventional economic environment, those who are innovative and focused on the social impact and value of their business would likely be the most successful.

magAssist was on the list due to its impact in the field of artificial hearts and technology. As the aging population is increasing the prevalence and number of heart failure cases every year, China has 330 million cardiovascular disease patients, accounting for the first of all causes of death. Chronic heart failure is often irreversible and difficult to control with drugs or other means; acute heart failure is even more dangerous and must be dealt with immediately, and an artificial heart gives patients hope. magAssist's  MoyoAssist Extracorporeal Ventricular Assist Device is the first domestically developed extra-VAD (extracorporeal ventricular assist devices, also known as extracorporeal artificial hearts) in China. To date, magAssist has made good progress in research at several clinical centers and has saved many patients.
