District Mayor Wei Mao: Provide strong support for high-end innovative medical enterprises, and replace imported high-end medical equipment with Chinese-developed ones

Wei Mao, District Mayor of Huqiu District of Suzhou City, and Ying Zhang, GuanhongTao and other officials paid a visit to magAssist on December 28, 2021, and heard from Dr. Polin Hsu, founder and CEO of magAssist, on the company's development plan and latest product innovation and R&D.

Dr. Hsu introduced the latest R&D Progress of magAssist to District Mayor MAO and his delegations

magAssist focuses on the development of maglev extracorporeal artificial hearts and committed itself in creating an extracorporeal life support system for critically-ill patients. The major products of magAssist include extracorporeal artificial hearts ventricular assist device, interventional artificial heartsventricular assist device, and the new generation of ECMO, which will successively enter the clinical trial stage in the first quarter of 2021. Mao watched the product demonstration and a series of smart detection platforms with great interest and asked especially about the efforts made in localized manufacturing and the upgrading of the industry chain.

Mao highlighted that strong support will be given to innovative medical equipment enterprises to replace imported medical equipment with the ones independently developed by Chinese companies. He hoped that relevant products could enter the market to help patients as soon as possible.
