Dr. Polin Hsu of magAssist selected as the "Fascinating Tech Pioneer" by Suzhou New District

The 7th Fascinating Tech Pioneer Award launched by the Suzhou New District has gone through all the review procedures and, with the consent of the Sci-tech Office of the Sci-tech Talent Work Leading Group of Suzhou New District, was announced for public review till April 15, 2022. Only 5 candidates was successfully selected as ‘Fascinating Tech Pioneers’ and Dr. Polin Hsu, founder and CEO of magAssist, was among the list.

• Love his/her country, abide by the Chinese Constitution and carry out businesses in the Suzhou New District;

• Be good moral characters that worship entrepreneurial spirit and afraid not to shoulder responsibilities;

• Have solid professional background, strong innovation capabilities, and uphold high academic morals, rigorous research attitude and the spirit of solidarity, perseverance, practicability, and innovation. 

• Haveoutstanding scientific research, innovation, and organizing capabilities, have won national, provincial and ministerial level sci-tech progress awards, innovation awards and other provincial and ministerial level awards, and have social influence.

• Have been an entrepreneur for more than three years, have a strong R & D team, master core industrial patented technologies, boast state-of-the-art products, and have greatly contributed to the regional socio-economic development. Besides, candidates must have won the title of Leading Talent awarded by higher-level government bodies.

• Have made pronounced contribution in science and technology innovation and commercialization and have generated significant economic and social benefits. 

Dr. Po Lin Hsu founded the magAssist Inc. back in 2017 and, together with the R&D team, developed from scratch in less than 3 years the extracorporeal maglev artificial heart, which is also China’s first high-barrier Class III active medical device. Currently, the product has already been used in clinical scenarios and saved many lives. Besides, magAssist also launched three other product lines, namely the percutaneous ventricular assist device, the new generation ECMO, and the organ care system. magAssist has now become one of the companies that have the fastest R&D progress and the most complete product line in the field of extracorporeal life support in China.
