Dr. Po-Lin Hsu, magAssist founder, was elected as a member of ISMCS committee.

From October 20 to 23, 2019, the annual meeting of ISMCS (International Society for Mechanical Circulatory Support) was successfully held in Bologna, Italy. More than 400 guests from over 20 countries attended the annual meeting. Dr. Po-Lin Hsu, the founder of magAssist Inc. was invited to attend and gave a presentation titled "From the Silk Road to blood pumps: developing MCS in China", in which she shared the challenges and experiences of magAssist in the process of developing the artificial heart. The guests were extremely excited about the opportunities and experiences of high-end medical devices in China, and they congratulated the success of magAssist development.

Meanwhile, Dr. Po-Lin Hsu was re-elected as a member of the current committee. The committee now has 14 members, which is the first time in the nearly 30 years of the Society's existence that China has been represented. The current committee resolved that the 2020 ISMCS annual meeting will be held in China. According to Dr. Po-Lin Hsu, this meeting will represent the recognition of international experts to China's achievements and cross-national collaboration. She will continue to make unremitting efforts in the future to let the world hear our voices. 


The International Society for Mechanical Circulatory Support (ISMCS, formerly known as the International Society of Rotating Blood Pumps, ISRBP) provides a broad international platform for in-depth discussions on all theories, research and development, and clinical applications related to mechanical circulatory support. The goal is to provide cross-disciplinary scientific and clinical support to bring new solutions with high benefits and low costs to the field of mechanical circulatory assistance.
